The Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) has awarded contracts to four health plans -UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, Banner-University Family Care, Mercy Care, and Arizona Complete Health-Long Term Care- to serve members enrolled in the Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) for elderly and physically disabled individuals. Effective October 1 ,2025, these contracts aim to improve service delivery, including non-emergency medical transportation, by offering members more choices and enhancing care coordination.
